DBS changes and the CQC changes

Association members are able to access support to understand the new regulations, by phone, by email, on the web site and at meeting.

The Directors of the Association are aware of the pressures on Care Homes to provide excellent care at realistic cost and to do this they need to be clear about the standards they are working to.

There are changes being made in the regulations that Care Homes and Home Care Providers follow.

We now have the details available and members are able to work though the changes in order to understand them

We are working with Citation/Shakespeare’s to put on an event and a webinar in the new year so that members can listen and understand the changes that are going to happen and what the implications are for Care Providers.

The same applies to the new ID regulations for the DBS which are coming out in January 2018.

In Nottingham we have plenty to other things to worry about with the Infection Prevention team so keen to apply hospital regulations to homes, so it is useful to know that we can get clear information about the new regulations when we need it
